REBECCA MILES, MANAGING EDITOR

Hello and welcome to the 34th edition of Intelligent Fin. tech and my first edition as editor. I am looking forward to sharing with you all the latest news, thought leadership and updates on technology within the finance industry from around our regions. You may notice a slightly different look to the magazine this month. As part of the Lynchpin Media brand, the magazine has undergone a redesign. It still focuses on expert insight for leaders and their teams within the finance industry, and there are also some new additions, including an expert column from a member of our strategic content team.

On the front cover this month, we feature Sameh El Mallah who is CEO at Damen. We hear about how BKN301 Group partnered with Damen, an Egyptian payments leader, to launch a futureready mobile wallet that blends trust, accessibility and innovation – expanding financial inclusion while preserving its deep community roots. Turn to page 14 to find out more.
Our expert column on page 18 is from Sindhu Kashyap, Senior Content Strategist, Middle East and Africa at Lynchpin Media. She talks about how perfect fakes make certainty cheap. Build doubt into workflows – live challenges for new counterparties, behavioural analytics for the‘ impossible’ and rails-level name-matching.
Legacy systems, overwhelmed agents and rising customer expectations are putting pressure on financial institutions. Jon Burghart, Chief Revenue Officer, AnywhereNow, outlines how banks can modernise contact centres, integrate AI and embrace data-led customer journeys. Turn to page 24.
From page 35, Godwin Amila, Solution Architect at WSO2, discusses the regulatory framework of the Digital Operational Resilience Act( DORA) – which came into play earlier this year – and what it means for financial institutions. He highlights how the organisation’ s robust practices are designed to strengthen its commitment to building secure and resilient digital infrastructure, whilst explaining how such measures empower customers to meet the requirements of DORA with confidence.
We also have an Intelligent Technology section dedicated to all the latest technology developments affecting the finance industry and a page called Project Round-Up which features news from across our regions.
I hope you enjoy the magazine and if you’ d like to contribute to any future issues, please do not hesitate to contact me by emailing rebecca @ lynchpinmedia. com
