Newland NPT accelerates unattended payment deployments with Worldpay Express certification

Newland Payment Technology( NPT), a global provider of payment terminals and technology solutions, has strengthened its unattended payment capabilities in North America through Worldpay Express certification.

The certification covers PayExplorer, Newland’ s payment acceptance application running across its Android-based unattended terminal portfolio, including the U2000 and U200 unattended payment terminals.
The certification gives independent software vendors, independent sales organisations, integrators and payment partners a certified foundation on which to build and deploy self-service payment solutions within the Worldpay ecosystem. By integrating their software with Newland’ s certified payment stack, partners can reduce the technical and operational effort required to bring unattended solutions to market, allowing them to focus on their own software capabilities, customer experiences and business offerings.
The solution supports a wide range of self-service environments. Designed for both indoor and outdoor deployments, Newland’ s Android unattended terminals provide partners with a consistent payment foundation to support different unattended use cases.
Rezart Uruci, General Manager, North America at Newland NPT, said:“ Unattended payments are a significant growth opportunity for our partners, but integration and certification can slow deployment. By certifying PayExplorer and our Android unattended terminals through Worldpay Express, we have brought those elements together in a deployment-ready stack.
“ For partners, that means more freedom to enter new unattended verticals, tailor the customer experience and build value-added services around a proven payment foundation. Together with Worldpay, we are giving partners practical options for scaling across a growing range of unattended environments.”
Edenred research reveals UK embedded payments integration gap

Edenred Payment Solutions has announced findings from new IDC research commissioned by the company, exploring the evolving landscape of embedded payments and payouts for software and financial services companies and the businesses using these capabilities in the UK.

More than 75 % of respondents see strategic value in embedded payments, recognising their potential to streamline operations, strengthen competitive differentiation, improve customer retention and create new opportunities for growth.
Yet the research reveals a significant gap between that strategic potential and the experience businesses have today. Only 10.8 % of businesses using embedded payments and payouts say their payment and payout experiences are fully integrated, while more than half report only basic or limited integration.
Three challenges stand out in particular:
Transparency: Sixty-seven percent of businesses cite data transparency and payment status updates as a shortfall in their payout experience
Speed: Fifty-six percent cite the speed of funds availability.
Fragmented tooling: Fifty-nine percent of businesses use four or more systems across payment processing, reconciliation and reporting.
The wider findings reinforce the challenge. Only 40.5 % say they have a mostly or very transparent view of their payment data. Managing payments across multiple systems can make it harder to reconcile payments, maintain visibility and make effective use of payment data.
“ Businesses increasingly recognise the strategic value embedded payments can bring, but there is still a gap between that potential and the experience they have today. Visibility, speed and fragmented processes can all make payments harder to manage and limit the value businesses are able to realise,” said Rehana Mitha, Managing Director, Edenred Payment Solutions. www. intelligentfin. tech
