One example of the sort of fraud we see is a stolen card ordering on the site then delivering products to a PO box or a local shop for collection . Then unfortunately , a week later the card owner or ‘ customer ’ notices the payment and rightfully goes to their bank to receive the chargeback but at that point , it ' s too late for us because we ' re going to refund the customer and we ' ve lost the cost of the product too . This also includes losing postage costs , warehouse team costs , the product and ultimately revenue as well .
From a customer ' s perspective , I think they can shop a lot more confidently online with businesses , allowing full protection as a whole . The customer will be able to shop a lot more confidently knowing that if there was an incident where their card is breached , it ' s handled by professionals who then will make sure that ultimately , they get their money back and that the fraudster is ultimately apprehended .
Unfortunately , in the past , we ' ve had incidences where we ' ve had repeat fraud attacks from the same person using two or three different cards . But once it gets over a certain value , you can report it to the police and then they can deal with the case .
